Strides Occupational Therapy is a unique therapy center located in Southwest Florida that provides occupational therapy services to children birth to 21. Services include improving motor skills, sensory processing skills, social participation, and more through a holistic treatment approach. Strides OT offers hippotherapy as one treatment strategy in a client's overall plan of care. Through hippotherapy, clients are provided rhythmic and repetitive equine movement that has been purposefully manipulated to engage sensory, neuromotor and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes. Therapist/Owner Sarah graduated with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2015 and began her career as a pediatric occupational therapist that year. She passed the American Hippotherapy Certification Board examination in 2016 and opened her own clinic in 2018 specializing in occupational therapy incorporating hippotherapy. She is also a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, PATH Intl. Registered Therapist, certified NeuroNet provider, and trained/certified in Therapeutic Listening.
